Like many of us waiting for a version of Ubuntu Mate for the Pi 4  I kept looking to see if it was released yet.  No.  Nothing.  However in my search I came across a website that offered promised but when I burned their iso image to the sdc card it failed to boot.  The I came across a Youtube video that got me passed the “failed to boot” issue so that I could login.  There would still be hurdles to come but I present the procedure here in what I hope will be an almost cut and paste procedure.
